One Year

Yesterday marked one year of marriage for Corey and me. I’m truly in awe that we’ve already hit this milestone. Everyone always says the first year of marriage is the hardest… Truth be told, nothing with Corey is hard, and I know I’m so lucky to have it that way. This year has flown by. We learn more about each other each day and get closer and closer as time goes on. We have experienced so many adventures this year – the biggest ones being getting a puppy and moving across the world together. Corey is truly and honestly my best friend in the entire world. Sometimes it scares me how much I love him, and more so, how much I need him. But I think that’s what marriage is about. You put all your eggs in one basket because you believe in this person and you know they will take care of you, and you will take care of them. I don’t know how I got so incredibly lucky. I wonder every day how I, of all people, got Corey. But then I realize, I don’t really care why or how, I’m just so glad I did.

Happy anniversary to the most loving husband a wife could ask for. I love you forever.

Little Baby Lucy

The thing I like most about my job is how much I truly love the people I work with. One of those people is Lisa. Her and her husband, Tom, recently welcomed their first baby into the world, Lucy Rose. She is such a precious little bebe and hardly fussed at all during the whole time we were shooting. I’m so lucky I have such wonderful people in my life who let me practice this hobby I love so much 🙂

Make Yourself at Home

While I love a gorgeous styled shoot as much as the next girl, there is something so genuine and intimate about plane ol’ photos of you and your love in the place you call home. I’d definitely like to do a portrait session in our little apartment someday, and if it looked half as perfect as this one, I’d be ecstatic.

Aren’t they just the cutest couple?! And her hair… Could it be more gorgeous? Love, love, loving these photos!

Can’t Wait…

22 DAYS! The countdown is totally on, and if you haven’t noticed, I can’t think about much else. At least once a day I turn to Corey and excitedly remind him “You’re going to by my husband!” or “We’re getting married!” I cannot wait. I can’t wait to be very married to Corey. Here are some romantical pictures by Elizabeth Messina (she captures the most amazing moments) because I’m feeling quite romantic.

Oh my goodness!! One month from today, I will walk down the aisle to my soon-to-be husband, make one of the most important promises of my life and become Mrs. Denfeld! With every passing day everything feels more and more real. I’m ridiculously emotional at anything wedding related (well, maybe even things that aren’t wedding related…), and I’m finding it hard to focus on anything else.

Last weekend we got our marriage license (!!!), finalized things with our event rental company, decided our cake and cupcake flavors, started on the seating chart and I made a banner for our dessert table. Today, Corey and I are meeting with our officiant to tell her our story and start crafting the ceremony. Everything is coming together! It is so exciting and I can’t wait for August 7th!!!

Thanks for following along on this journey. It’s been so fun sharing my inspirations and my experiences with you all!
