I wanted to share some iPhone snaps from the wedding I was in last week. I’ll post more about the wedding when I share the “real” photos, but what I’ll say now is this wedding was a true testament to Meghan and how unbelievably creative and detail-oritented she is. This would’ve been an impressive fete to plan no matter what, but knowing she has a full-time job and a small baby at home made this even more extraordinary. I was so honored to be a part of Meghan + Jeff’s big day and couldn’t be happier for them! Can’t wait to share more!!
The street I grew up on back in Oregon is absolutely breathtaking in the Fall. I got super lucky and with the late summer Portland had, I actually caught the leaves as they were bright yellow and orange at the beginning of my week stay, and half bare by the end of it. I decided it would be the perfect backdrop for some outfit photos. I bought these leather shorts at Topshop in London. The second I said “leather shorts” to friends and family I think they were really concerned for me, but I think after seeing them styled they are now leather short believers! What do you think? Are you a fan of leather shorts? What’s your go-to Autumn outfit?
This weekend was incredible. We had two rare, sunny Amsterdam days in a row!! Here’s a bit about what we were up to:
+Friday night date night – we went out for Chinese 🙂
+Saturday we grabbed a coffee and walked to Museumplein and people watched
+Admired the leaves that have started to fall and the trees changing colors
+Enjoyed a relaxing al fresco lunch while we soaked up the sun
+Finally bought bikes – we’re officially Dutchies!
+Tried a new pizza joint (it was yummmy)
+Rode to the windmill brewery for a couple beers (more on that in another post!)
+Counted our blessings as we marveled at the fact that we live in Amsterdam (holy crap)!
Happy Monday! I totally missed my happy Friday post! Whoops! I feel like that’s how life has been these days. I can hardly believe when another week has passed as they are flying by so quickly. Autumn is in full swing here in Portland and it is seriously gorgeous! Here are some photos from the weekend.
Fall in our neighborhood:
Spiked cider and simply delicious food at Jo Bar:
A gorgeous surprise from Corey. But I may have appreciated the sparkly clean apartment and heartwarming card even more!!
A portrait of the cutest pup I know!
Things have been crazy busy at work this week. Sorry I haven’t been super up-to-speed on blogging and commenting. I miss you guys!
For now, I leave you with some gorgeous fall images from the endlessly inspiring Tumblr blog, It’s Mary Ruffle.
And we’ve been super lucky with the most beautiful crisp Autumn day today. Considering this has been one of the wettest Septembers since I was born, I’m extremely thankful for these beautiful dry days.
