christmas, holidays, travel

{Dordrecht Christmas Market}

This weekend we hopped a train and traveled an hour and a half south to the town of Dordrecht to peruse  their annual Christmas Market. There was mulled wine (we actually loved this batch!), caroling, ice skating, traditional hot-off-the-coals pastries and best of all… Blue skies! It was such a fun day, couldn’t have wished for better weather or company.

  1. How fun! I'm dying to go to a traditional European Christmas market. I'm hoping there will still be a few around when I arrive on the continent in less than a week!

  2. Such great photos! I'm glad you got that pastry in a tube shape (it's called Kalacs in Hungary)! I got addicted to them in Hungary and they don't have them here in Estonia.

  3. Oh these pictures put me in the best Christmas mood and remind me of my German Christmas from last year..Btw, I am a new follower :)Merry Christmas!!

  4. Hi there! I'm a new follower! I absolutely love your photos on this post! Makes me want to take a trip to Holland ASAP! I've only ever been to the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam on a layover to London. The airport was nice, at least! 🙂 My hubby and I are also living abroad in Europe…Germany to be exact! I love finding other expat blogs! Excited to follow all of your adventures!
