{Weekend Snaps}

Before I get into our weekend.. Let me just say this.. My first week back at work has been absolutely exhausting. And amazing and exciting. All at the same time! So, sorry for being a bit lazy on posting these last couple of days. I’ve been working late, out for great dinners and generally just being super busy and getting home around 10 PM and falling into bed, only to wake up and do it all over again…ย

So.. Here’s what we were up to last weekend:
+date night, complete with sangria & tapas at Pata Negra
+enjoyed a sweet outdoor music performance – the street was packed and people were picknickingย along the canal!
+a walk to Oosterpark with our pup (we stopped for fresh croissants along the way)
+exploring our new neighborhood (I admit we walked by our new place more than a few times! SO excited to move in on the first!!!)
+enjoyed a great view and dinner at Cafe de Jarenย
+brunch (turned early afternoon beers) with this lady and her sweet man, Marcus. So happy to be making such awesome new friends here!

And some photos… of course ๐Ÿ™‚

*may I remind you that this is our street!!!

Wow- that was a lot of pictures! Guess I had to make up for lost blogging days ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. So utterly beautiful and so European….don't ever hesitate to post all and any images of your new home town. I am relishing in your new surroundings!

    You and the love-of-your-life and your doggie~baby are just too sweet and waaay tooo cute for mere words!

  3. What a fantastic neighborhood! Glad to see that you guys (and Henry!) are settling in. Just think, you have a great place apartment and the first week of work is behind ya, so all the tough parts are over! Have a great weekend!

  4. So good that you're making friends already! It can be though when you move to a new country, and makes such a difference when you're first settling in, right? I had a tough time with that when I first moved to Sweden. Luckily it's been easier this time around, moving to New York.

    So envious of your street!

  5. Your red striped blazer and boots got me really excited for fall:) Its exciting that you love your job…that is a treasure. Thanks for sharing the beautiful images!

  6. thanks for the sweet comments everyone!!
