Weekend Recap

This weekend we…

Took Henry over to the in-laws, ate take-out Chinese and cooed over photos and videos of our adorable niece.

Double-dated with my sissy and her boyfriend who was in town from L.A. We had a delicious dinner at Jo Bar and then played Taboo ‘till 1 a.m. It was so much fun!

Finally experienced the famous Mancakes from Stepping Stone Café. They are huge buttermilk pancakes that were featured on Man vs. Food (one of Corey’s favorite shows). They were gigantic, fluffy and delicious!

Took a walk in Washington Park. It smelled like Spring and there are so many beautiful houses in the west hills. We daydreamed about buying a home up there someday and taking our kids to play on the swing sets.

And Henry lost his first baby tooth! Our little man is growing up so fast…

Hope you had a great weekend! What did you do?

  1. Ohhh I recognize the last half of your photos & it makes me miss Portland a lot. I used to live over in the west hills… I miss those incredible views!

And we've always wanted to try Stepping Stone Cafe… we too saw it on Man vs. Food & have been meaning to try it out!

  2. Those mancakes sound and look super yummy! I absolutely love playing taboo, and you have just inspired me to go to target and buy the game 😉 It looks like you had a beautiful weekend, the sights you took in are breathtaking.

  3. My boyfriend and I ate at Stepping Stone Cafe when we visited Portland, solely because it was featured on Man vs Food!

Looks like a lovely weekend you had 🙂

  4. Your photos make me miss the Pacific Northwest (I'm from Washington). Sounds like you had a fun weekend.

My fiance and I checked out a new-to-us brewery in Scottsdale, people-watched at the m7 Street Fair in Phoenix and saw our college's basketball team lose to UCLA on TV. 🙁

  5. yay, weekends! mancakes pancakes sound uh-mazing. and little henry's baby tooth! how sweet. sometimes i just really can't believe my own little baby fluffs are already 3 years old!

  6. Those pancakes look DELICIOUS! I know what I'm having for breakfast now! (If I can only get myself away from blogging so I can fall asleep)

    Fun pictures 🙂

  7. I'm fairly certain my husband would hug the waiter who brought him pancakes this large, in fact -I'm certain. I'm going to have to keep it in my back pocket for our next trip out there!
