Breathe & Smile

I hate to be a downer, but this morning has been really crummy. Every little thing was going wrong (major allergy attack, left my makeup bag in the car that was  21 floors below in the garage, my tinted lotion exploded all over my makeup bag, etc etc). And then I got rear-ended when I was not two miles away from work!

I wish I could take a personal day and just lay in bed and watch bad TV. But since I can’t, I am going to stop sulking now. I’m taking a deep breath.

The rest of this day is going to be much better. I just know it. (And I’ll keep saying it until it’s true!)

  1. UGH so so sorry friend! I hate that. I also wish that you could take a personal day. Looking at those flowers are sure to make it a little bit better 🙂

  2. what a gongshow! keep staring at these peonies and counting down the clock.

i got rearended at a red light less than 2 miles from my home about 2 months ago…ready for this? by a 74 yr old handicapped placard driving hoarder (true story) – who bent over to retrieve a “relic” (read piece of junk) from the floor and when he looked up hit the gas instead of the brake thereby rearending my less than a year old car that i saved 2 years for.

    shoot me now.

he then proceeded to hide from his insurance and mine for over a week at which time he told them i was a liar and didn't have any damage to my car b/c he “rolled” into me.

did i mention i had walking pneumonia at the time?

oh yeah. it's been a big ol drama over here. and the crazy guy met up w/my bf at the car wash a few weeks ago and became entirely unhinged screaming and yelling at him in the parking lot. dude YOU HIT MY CAR not the other way around!!

so all the bf said as the guy was driving away was – hey (insert name here) – gas on the right, brake on the left.

i include this highly dramatic comment to let you know you are not alone.

i hope the perpetrator who hit me has not headed north…

  3. I'm sorry your day started off so crummy! Here's hoping it got a little better.

If it's any consolation, your photography is fantastic! I'm new to your blog so I'm not sure if you do it professionally or just for fun but you are very good at what you do!

  4. Yikes, that's terrible! Keep your thoughts on the long weekend ahead and hopefully that will help you get through the crummy stuff!

  5. Even though I just had a long weekend, I'm already ready for a day off. Today has been a negative 20 on the scale of productivness at work.
