Monday, Monday….


I’m feeling kind of down-in-the-dumps today. It could be because it’s Monday, or because I’m sick, or because I am getting pretty tired of this Oregon weather… but whatever it is, I gotta get out of this funk, stat! Thinking of Spring and pretty flowers makes me feel a little better, but not by much.. Any ideas for a little pick-me-up?

  1. When I feel down in the dumps, I try to think of 3 things I can do at home (where it is more acceptible to burst into tears for no real reason) that are guaranteed to make me feel better.


    Love Actually, buttery popcorn and painting my nails

    Wine, Stephen and old episodes of Friends

    Skinny Dip (my fav frozen yogurt), bubble bath and the latest Lucky magazine

  2. i love sara's ideas in the previous comment. chick flicks and manicures always help me 🙂 also, i bought myself the most gorgeous, simple bouquet of flowers from the grocery store yesterday and it instantly brightened my mood. maybe that would help? hope you sleep it off and have a FABULOUS tuesday!

    I would also have some hot chocolate or my favorite baskin and robbins depends on the weather.

  4. Oh no! not a case of the mondays!
    When I'm having an ESPECIALLY dreary day, I go to my favorite newsstand and buy, like, five magazines, then sit at home with a cup of tea and read them. It helps if you have a cozy blanket to curl up with, too.

  5. Aw, hope you're feeling better! I love Sara's suggestions…Love Actually and buttery popcorn is a recipe for happiness. So is curling up on the couch and watching The Holiday or any good SATC episodes (always give me a good laugh!)
    Chocolate always helps too, it's a natural mood booster =)
